I meant to post this a WHILE ago, but never got around to it. Check this out for an interesting piece on sexual harassment in Egypt. Apparently 80 percent of Egyptian women and 90 percent of female foreign visitors to the country have been sexually harassed.

After getting caught cheating on Facebook (how cliche), 26-year-old Joe Page’s live-in girlfriend Jess Little threw him out. To make things right, he decided to put on a sandwich board with the words “I cheated on my girlfriend. I am humiliating myself to show I am sorry” on the front and “I love her so much. I will do anything to get her back. I am so sorry” on the back.
He seems to have received mixed reviews. I think it’s silly. Cheating on someone is extremely hurtful. It’s going to take more than a public apology to heal those wounds. Moreover, does the fact that an apology is public make it more sincere? Does buying expensive jewelry, i.e. Kobe Bryant, make you more sincere than if you don’t purchase an expensive gift?
Sorry, but it’s going to take time before Jess gets over this. Spend this time reflecting on why you did what you did and learn from the mistake so it won’t happen in your next relationship.

Today a judge ordered Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to defend himself on April 6 on allegations that he had sex with a then underaged Moroccan model/prostitute named Karima El Mahroug, also known as Ruby “The Heart Stealer.” People first found out about the alleged tryst when Berlusconi had her released once the Milan police took her into custody for stealing cash.
Berlusconi will stand trial before a panel of three judges, all of which are female. Italian women are furious, as this incident is just but one of many in a country that has increasingly become more sexist.
The scandal hasn’t prevented from El Mahroug from taking a page out of the American playbook and cashing in on her fame. She’s even been in an advertisement to promote a book. If this commercial is in any way reflective of the sexist culture in Italy, I’d say things are pretty bad there. El Mahroug was paid 100,000 euros or 134,000 dollars for this low-budget ad in which she is randomly stripped to her undergarments by a guy resembling the Phantom of the Opera.
You know I’ll have more on this story once the trial starts.
What a mouthful. Pun intended. Meet Dr. Tammy Banovac. She’s a 52 year old woman that recently made headlines for showing up to an airport in just a bra and panties (while sitting in a wheelchair with her dog). Why? She claims she recently felt uncomfortable during a TSA patdown and wanted to show that she had no weapons of mass destruction.
Besides the fact that she looks like a complete psycho, you may have noticed that she looks very good for 52. Well it appears she posed nude in Playboy in an edition for dentists back in 1997 (approximately 39). Where Playboy discover her you may ask? But of course at the airport. (I guess she travels alot).

Even though she’s actually a dentist and not just playing make-believe like porn stars, she cannot practice because her license was taken away in 1993 after gross malpractice.
I can honestly say that I’ve never heard of anyone more peculiar than this woman.
How does this relate to Manogamy? I honestly don’t know, but I had to post this interesting find. If I have to piece it together, I’ll say to men: Don’t think that intelligent, beautiful women can’t be crazy.

I had the distinctive privilege of meeting Ms. Kamala Harris in the summer of 2009 at an intimate fundraiser. If you don’t know who Kamala Harris is, you obviously haven’t been paying attention to the 2010 elections. Harris currently is the District Attorney in San Francisco and is currently in the lead for California’s attorney general (she still hasn’t officially been deemed the winner because it’s so close). If elected, she would be the first African-American and woman to hold the position. And to my knowledge, she’d be the first Indian-American to hold the position (she’s mixed).
I then read the comment section on the article and saw some of the criticisms that people had about her. One of the frequent critiques was that she slept her way to the top. As someone that views her in high esteem, I had to check this out.
It turns out that she did have a very public relationship with Willie Brown, former mayor of San Francisco. I found a 7-PAGE article from the SF Weekly entitled “Kamala’s Karma” detailing their relationship. According to the article:
Harris met Brown in 1994 when he was speaker of the state Assembly. She was 29, he was 60. Their May/December affair was the talk of the town during the year before Brown’s successful 1995 bid to become mayor. But shortly after he was inaugurated, Harris dumped Brown, a notorious womanizer.
The article further details that Brown even purchased her a 1994 BMW. I guess Brown is one of those old guys like J. Howard Marshall with an affinity for tricking. The article goes on:
Aside from handing her an expensive BMW, Brown appointed her to two patronage positions in state government that paid handsomely — more than $400,000 over five years. In 1994, she took a six-month leave of absence from her Alameda County job to join the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. Brown then appointed her to the California Medical Assistance Commission, where she served until 1998, attending two meetings a month for a $99,000 annual salary.
I know that love is blind, but I can’t think of any reason why Harris, a young, educated, well-off, attractive woman, would date someone twice her age. On top of that Brown and his wife, Blanche Vitero, have been separated since 1976 and remain married. Although her parents have different backgrounds -Black Stanford economics professor and East Indian doctor – I’m pretty sure they did approve of the relationship. To date, Harris has never married. She’s in her mid-forties and is still smoking hot. I’m sure she still gets hit on regularly. From what I’ve gathered, it appears she knows what she’s working with and how to use it to get what she wants.
But why do attractive women feel the need to actually have sex/relationships to advance their careers? I am aware there is a glass ceiling, but I do know that attractive woman can get ahead without also having to spread their legs. Just look at Sarah Palin. Her looks play a large role in where she is now and I’ve never heard anything about her sleeping around to become Governor of Alaska.
Harris has a promising future. As Attorney General of California, she’ll easily be one of the most powerful women in this nation. She has already made history and I wouldn’t be surprised if she decided to run for President of the United States. The issue naturally came up during the DA election and naturally will emerge if, and when, she runs for a higher office. If people made up rumors of Nikki Haley’s infidelity, can you imagine what they are going to do with this?
Wow, what better way to start my BAR review recess than to have this jewel sitting at the top of my page. I posted earlier today about a new site called MyMarriageMatters which is an anti-Ashley Madison site. It turns out that Ashley Trashy Madison must find our sites to be a threat because Trashy Madison was sending e-mails as Ryan Hill, of MyMarriageMatters.org. They even got me with that fake e-mail address mymarriagematters@gmail.com.
I erroneously thought that MyMarriageMatters was in some way affiliated with Trashy Madison when I received a comment from a “Ryan Hill” with the same IP Address as Caitlyn Coverly, an employee of Trashy Madison (see pictures above). The e-mail address matched the e-mails that I had been receiving from “Ryan Hill” requesting statistics and other information from me.
Now why would Trashy Madison do this? I can only come up with two explanations. 1) Trashy Madison wanted two of their opponents to bicker. I doubt this was it because I don’t think that they are smart enough to plan for me to notice the IP addresses. Rather, I think it’s 2) Trashy Madison is upset that MyMarriageMatters got some airtime. They also wanted to get some information out of me. Here’s the text of an e-mail that I received from Trashy Madison posing as Ryan Hill of MyMarriageMatters:
Hi Jarrod,
Sorry I haven’t touched base with you. I have been extremely busy getting our commercial ready – aired last night for the first time!
I am working on a page for our website called “Noel Biderman says” and we will be creating a page proving him wrong. If you have any time and want to assist me with this let me know.
The three statements we are going after are:
“Infidelity can save your marriage”
“Monogamy is dead”
“Commercials don’t influence people”
I want to use stats to prove these statements wrong.
Let me know.
Ryan
I APOLOGIZE to Ryan Hill and MyMarriageMatters.org for the mix-up. Let the record reflect that MyMarriageMatters.org has ABSOLUTELY NO RELATIONSHIP to Trashy Madison. Trashy Madison set up a fake e-mail account and pretended to be Ryan Hill.
Again I ask, what kind of confidential marital affairs website do you run Noel? You can’t even set up a fake e-mail address with me knowing. This just goes to show you how far Trashy Madison will go and how low they will stoop.
Update: Ashley Madison = MyMarriageMatters.org. My gut instinct was right. Check it out here
Abudallah Kazibwe was rushed to a hospital in the Nebbi District in Uganda after Habib (last name?) found him in bed with his live-in girlfriend Irene (last name?). Abdullah and Irene used to date and Abdullah, a truck driver, just wanted to stop by and see her while he was in the area. Apparently the flame was rekindled and they ended up having sex. Somehow Habib heard about it, stormed in, and caught them in the act. Habib cut off Abdullah’s testicles with a kitchen knife.
We don’t know whether Irene conveyed to Abdullah that she was in a new relationship. If she did, then I guess we can’t feel too sorry for him. And if he didn’t know, then this is quite a tragedy.
We read cases like this all of the time in criminal law during my first year in law school. Since Habib acted out of passion, he’d get a lesser sentence. I can understand him being mad, but I’ve never been the type to get mad if my significant other decides to cheat on me. In fact, men should expect that other men will try to sleep with their woman (I actually wouldn’t want to date someone that no one else would want). But that’s why you date someone that is trustworthy. Habib’s anger, instead, should have been placed toward the person that has a duty to him – Irene.

Here’s a tiny piece of advice: If you are a mother that abandons your family, people will notice that you’re gone. Meet Tiffany Tehan, a 31-year-old married woman with a 13-month-aged daughter. Meet Tre Hutcherson, a 42-year-old married man. Tiffany and Tre met at at a Circle K and after developing a relationship eventually decided to run away and start a new life in Florida. Tiffany figured that no one would notice. Um…yeah.
She said that she started the affair because she’s under a lot of stress. I don’t know what’s Tre’s excuse. After a national search, they were found in a hotel in Florida. Tiffany’s husband even claims that she wants him back (I’m not really sure what’s wrong with that guy).
Here’s the video of them talking about their experience on Good Morning America.
As someone that has been in a relationship where I started developing feelings for someone else, I know what it feels like. And because I do, I can tell you that it is best to cut things off before they go too far. You know when you’ve crossed that line emotionally. Wouldn’t it be best to get a divorce first and then be with your “true love” as opposed to running away and completely abandoning your 13-month-old baby? This is real life, not a darn love story. Smh.

Not much surprises me, but this article is definitely shocking. An 80-year-old man strangled his wife to death after she laughed when he asked if she was cheating on him. After being married for 59 years, I’d probably laugh if my wife asked me if I was having an affair. Are you serious? If you’ve never suspected someone of cheating in 59 years, what makes you think they are going to start when they are 75?
No one is disputing that this guy was mad. He’s spent 75% of his 80 year life with her. But to strangle your wife…to death is never justified by any set of facts.

*Random, but if the math, he was 21 and she was 16 when they got married.
Simply put: “Because the Bible says so” doesn’t win arguments. I am a Christian, but I know that in order to win people over the cause of monogamy, I’m going to have to use my lawyering skills. That’s why I talk the game of logic to people.
Another reason is that by associating myself with a church, I have less control. Whenever a preacher commits adultery, it would make us look bad. Most recently, a prominent Texas pastor resigned after admitting to infidelity. I’m not going to go into much detail, but you can read about it here.
What I envision for the Manogamy Movement is an army of men that are going to stand up for fidelity whether they follow organized religion or not. I want men that are mentally strong. And just because you go to church doesn’t mean you’re at the level where you need to be.
