According to Globe and Mail
Avid Life Media Inc., the parent company of dating websites such asCougarLife.com , EstablishedMen.com and the notoriousAshleyMadison.com , a site for people seeking extramarital relationships, is raising $60-million and is pushing for a listing on the Toronto Stock , sources say.
That’s right people, Avid Life is trying to get an IPO. So now people across the world can own a little piece of ass stock. I guess the biggest question is whether shareholders are just as culpable as the people that use Established Men or the Trashy Ashley Madison Agency. I’m going to have to say yes to this one. If you own a piece of Nike and you later find out that they are operating sweatshops, then you can at least say that you didn’t know. On the other hand, there’s no virtue to Ashley Madison at all (not to mention the fact that you can invest in plenty of other places).
It seems like every woman wants to marry a doctor. Well you may not want to marry this one. Meet Dr. Yazeed Essa. Essa has been charged with aggravated murder for poisoning his wife with cyanide.
You know this site is about Manogamy, so you’ve correctly guessed that there’s a mistress involved. According to the Chicago Tribune:
Essa’s mistress will testify about weekly trysts and a trip to New York City when she began to question whether Essa was willing to divorce his wife and marry her, Dever said. That rejection, Dever said, “really fueled the fire” for Essa to kill his wife.
So what’s Essa’s defense? Not that there’s no mistress or that the mistress is lying, but that he’s a happily married man. Is it possible to be happily married man with a mistress? Well you know the answer to that…
I wrote my first article entitled “Google Voice and the New Infidelity Regime.” You can read it here. I’ve also added to the media page.
This A.C. thing is new to me, so please feel free to provide me with suggests and feedback.

Ladies and gents, it appears that the Ashley Trashy Madison Agency has struck again. We know that they are on the airwaves, had a Superbowl commercial in TX last year, and tried to plaster Toronto buses with their logo, but NOW they are going into print. Yup, Metro, a free daily paper with circulation in NY, Philly, and Boston have agreed to take their devil money.
I’m willing to bet that they are going for another Superbowl commercial this year. Their advertising strategy consists of them either a) getting their way or b) getting attention from them not getting their way.
On an unrelated note, why does it look like the guy’s girlfriend is a High Schooler. Who wears a bucket cap anymore? And are we supposed to find a Katherine Heigl ponytail to be uber-sexy?
I hate Hugh Hefner and everything that he stands for. I must admit, I was going to give him an “A for effort” when I read about this $43 belt with a hidden camera. Upon reflection, I realized that this idea is pretty dumb and potentially painful. Think about it, you’ve got to have the belt ON to use it which means …

My mother has always said “Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman’s Score.” This post is all about revenge. I think the links do a pretty good job of explaining, so I won’t talk to much today.
First up, we’ve got Charles E. Phillips, President of Oracle. He and his mistress YaVaughnie Wilkins had a 8.5 year relationship. Phillips gets back with his wife and Wilkins retaliated by taking out about $250,000 in BILLBOARDS in numerous cities to put him on blast. Dang homie. Source.
Update: This is actually a pretty big story. We have an article and video from the Chicago Tribune. She even managed to take out a billboard in Times Square. I really hate the dialogue in the video. Everyone makes this woman out to be a bad person. Sure enough she’s crazy for putting up the signs up and she is a homewrecker (assuming she knew), but what about the guy. He’s been playing with her emotions for 8.5 years. Now she’s 41 and very unlikely to get married.
Update 2: This story made even made international news! And with that, I create a new tag: Sucks to be You.
Second, Yvonne Fulbright chimes in on the pros and cons of revenge sex (you know sleeping with someone out of spite that you were cheated on). Ultimately she concludes that’s a really bad idea. I agree. Source.
The AJC ran an article today about how the lobbyist aren’t sending young, attractive women to the Gold Dome this year in light of Glenn Richardson’s tryst with a lobbyist. Every is apparently shook over forthcoming ethics reform litigation.
While I am glad that companies are doing something about the problem, I must ask “Is this really supposed to stop men from stepping out on their wives?” Let’s blame it on the women instead of the addressing the real issue: men not knowing to keep their hands to themselves.
If you really want to solve this problem, you have to instill in men that women that aren’t your significant other are off limits. Law firms shouldn’t have to worry about hiring a young, attractive association for fear that it may disrupt the firm.
This is just a Band-Aid to fix the real problem. The article predicts that “babe alley” (yes, that’s actually what it is called) will return once the heat is off. And then what? We’re going to end back at square one.
I posted earlier today how the Manogamy Movement acquired Manogamy.com today. Well, I was doing some domain shopping and came across a pretty cool, simple name: ReExpect.com (naturally, rethink, and every other variation was taken). I know ReExpect is not a word, but neither is Manogamy.
So why ReExpect.com? I believe that many people have lowered their expectations for relationships. Just do a Google Search for monogamy. You’ll see plenty of articles that question whether monogamy is natural, realistic, a myth, etc.
There was a time when we expected faithfulness in a relationship. I’ve talked to many women that say they understand if a man cheats or that cheating once is not that bad.
There’s nothing naive about it. People can remain faithful for their lifetime and be happy. It’s not a fairy tell ladies and gents. It’s time for us to ReExpect Monogamy.
I swear it’s something new everyday: People cheat because it’s a new year or people cheat because they acquire money or status. Well today I read something about how men are more likely to cheat when they are unemployed? Does this make any sense? Which is it: Is Tiger Woods or the guy who got laid off from the Ford factory?
The truth of the matter is that men cheat for a variety of reasons: Arrogance, unhappiness at home, opportunity, etc. You can’t tie it to one thing. Statistics often confuse correlation with causation.
