Deep End

I’ve been hearing about this new show which started last night entitled “The Deep End.” Supposedly it’s Grey’s Anatomy, but it takes place in a law firm.  I haven’t watched it, so I won’t speak on it for too long.  The Managing Partner in the show, Cliff Huddle, apparently cheats on his wife.

The notion of businessmen cheating is not new.  I still must wonder why that is the case. I noticed from my firm experience that attorneys generally had attractive wives.  According to the post below, it’s a power issue.

A powerful man who has the opportunity is a good candidate to cheat. Their wife’s attractiveness has nothing to do with it. No woman can be beautiful enough to keep a man faithful. There has to be something else at play to have him remain fully committed to the relationship.

The notion of “power” is silly because it is relative.  The President of the United States is powerful, but so is a Superintendent, Principal, or Manager at McDonald’s.  The fact of the matter is that guys need to grow up.  If you want to live the frat boy lifestyle, then don’t get married.  It’s simple as that.  You know when you’re mature enough to fight off temptation.
